Visiting Sena

Last week Everleigh had her 3 month appointment with our midwife Sena.

Stats:
Weight: 12 lbs
Length: 24 1/4 in

She loved seeing Sena, she must remember her from back in the day. You know, way back in the day, on the day she was born.

Family Pictures

If you didn't get to see our family pictures, check out the photographers' blog where they posted a small selection of the pictures:
We love how they turned out!

Over the Past Few Weeks...

Ever...

Started holding up her head when she lays on her tummy

Giggled! (Though she still saves them for extra funny moments)

Helped us through the car-buying process (We're real parents now we have an SUV!)

Experienced her first natural disaster when the earthquake and tsunami hit Japan

Went to a restaurant for the first time (Hapa-good choice!)

Acquired some Aden and Anais blankets that we use to swaddle her up tight

Visited her daddy at work

Received a big box of goodies from her friends Ms Susan and little Piper, including these:

11 Weeks

Ever is 11 weeks and today she hung out at The Rebellion and watched her daddy at work. Well, some of the time...

10 Weeks

Tomorrow, Ever has been here for 11 whole weeks!

Stats:  at 10 weeks she weighed 10lb 10.5oz

She's starting to show us her developing personality and we love it! She's so much fun.

What's new?
She licks or sucks her arms/hands/fingers

She's trying really hard to giggle

She thinks the moment when the water is poured on her tummy during bath time is sooooo funny!
She has varying degrees of smiles: the corner of the mouth twitch, the half-smile, the closed mouth smile, the open mouth, the huge look-at-all-my-gums smile that she uses accordingly depending on how funny she thinks something is...

She pouts, smiles, frowns-all in a row like she's practicing her faces

She wiggles around at night and pushes one parent as close to the edge of the bed as possible

She fake cries when she's bored

She talks. A lot. Conversations are now two-sided

She makes all her tights and socks bobbly from kicking her legs back and forth (like a ballet dancer) no matter what position she's in

She loves her cloth diapers-they're soft on her butt!

She has eyelashes! (she had just a few when she was born)

She likes to hang out with us in her baby carrier

All this growing is hard work...
